While fans are awaiting the release of Game of Thrones, it seems the All Progressive Congress[APC] are playing out what seems to be a spin-off of the show. A day after Nigeria’s independence celebration, 2 October 2018 will mark an eventful day for APC as they decided who will fly their banner in Lagos state 2019 Gubernatorial elections.

The political party has had a tumultuous season with ‘fallouts’ and supporters changing candidates quicker than a hen picks on pebbles.

The incumbent Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode contested amid rumours of a fallout with his ‘mentor’. The party showed their displeasure and disinterest in having him as their flag bearer and crowned Baba Jide Sanwolu instead.

The Nigerian political season is heralding that winter is coming. All wolves must stick to the pack because the lone wolf…!
