Sex Tape Scandal: 5 Things Learned From Babcock University’s Official Statement
Earlier in the day, a girl identified as a Babcock University student and an unidentified male were seen in what appeared to be a leaked sex tape.
The video went viral almost immediately with many displeased at the act. As it became a trending topic on Twitter, the story began taking different twists and turns.
Some Twitter NG users claim the sex tape was leaked as an act of revenge against the girl, while others think it was solely the boy’s doing. While the comparisons went on, others awaited the response of the school authorities.
Babcock University, through its Twitter page, released an official statement as shown below and in it are the 5 things we have learned about the case:
The boy is no longer a Babcock Student
According to Babcock University, the boy in the video was expelled in February 2019 for being involved in “certain grievous misconducts”. Babcock says the content of the video is “a manner of behaviour that is alien and antithetical to the values of the university.”
The unnamed Lady identified
Many questions arose following this video leak, most of which tilted towards wanting to know who the lady in question is. The statement reveals that until the release of the ‘morally inappropriate’ video, she was a 300-level student of accounting at Babcock University.
Rule(s) Violation
After making it know in the first paragraph of its displeasure towards the incident, the school authorities stated that the girl has been “promptly expelled from the institution for the violation of university rules and regulations”
The actual period of the incident revealed
It is also gathered that the filming of the now released sex tape took place when the school wasn’t in session. The statement reads:
“According to the girl, the incident took place in April this year during school vacation, when she visited the boy at the hospital. The act did not take place in Babcock University.”
Where did it happen?
The incident took place at Saint Bridget’s Hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun state, while she visited the boy undergoing rehabilitation.
