Stella Damasus Reacts To Genevieve Nnaji’s “Lionheart”

Nollywood actress Stella Damasus who is now majorly based abroad has taken to Instagram to share her review of the film of the moment, “Lionheart” by fellow actress, Genevieve Nnaji.

According to Damasus, the highly acclaimed film which is also Nnaji’s directorial debut film made her cry after Nnaji dedicated the film to late Amaka Igwe, and also had Nollywood actors who have not been given a lot of opportunities in recent times as part of her cast.

Damasus wrote,

“Just finished watching #lionheartthemovie by @genevievennaji on @netflix my goodness this blew my mind. From the story, to the casting, to the cinematography, costumes and everything in it, this movie is so good. I don’t usually do this but please guys go and watch this movie. Let me thank Genevieve for casting our Nollywood actors who have not been given a lot of opportunities in recent times. Best of all she moved me to tears by dedicating the movie to AMAKA IGWE. I loved every minute of it and I know you all will. Please support this by watching and rating it with your thumbs up so that Netflix will know that Nigeria has great things to offer. #movie #film #nollywood #netflixmovies #womensupportingwomen”

It is noteworthy that the film is the first original Nollywood film to be acquired by international film streaming platform, Netflix.

We also reported earlier how pirated copies of the film have been made available for streaming and download by pirates.
