Netflix Buys Genevieve Nnaji’s “Lionheart” Before Premiere

Online movie streaming platform, Netflix, has announced that it has acquired the worldwide rights for Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji’s film, Lionheart. It made the announcement in a press release on the Netflix website on Friday before yesterday’s premiere.

According to Netflix, “Lionheart marks the first Netflix original film from Nigeria.”

Directed by Nnaji, the film stars Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Kanayo O Kanayo, Onyeka Onwenu, and Kalu Ikeagwu.
