Marketing Edge inducts 21 professionals to hall of fame

Marketing Edge has inducted 21 professionals into its hall of fame to acknowledge their impacts across industries such as Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), manufacturing, insurance and oil and gas sectors.

Publisher Marketing EDGE, John Ajayi, speaking at the maiden edition of Hall of Fame induction over the weekend, in Lagos, said that the professionals were inducted for sustaining outstanding contributions to their industries and business enterprise.

He applauded the players in the competitive Nigerian corporate community, especially the Integrated Marketing Communications sector for promoting growth and development in their respective sectors despite the vicissitudes of the National economy.

According to him, Marketing Edge, initiated the Hall of Fame as a further proof of its commitment to its pay off in line in ‘Promoting the brand idea’.

As a brand-centric and people-centric media brand, we are constantly in search of ideas, activities and events that give meaning, form and shape to who we are, what we are, and how we and what we do, why, when and how.

“In our quest to bridge the knowledge gap across industries while boosting capacity for businesses generally, we again launched Quarterly Virtual Summit last year to engage industry players in frank conversations on themes and topics that affect and impact their enterprise,” he said.

Some of the inductees include; Managing Director, Oracle Experience Limited, Felix King Eiremiokhae; President, Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), Tunji Adeyinka; Founder, Noah’s Ark, Lanre Adisa; Chief Operating Officer (COO), X3M Ideas, Steve Babaeko; CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Nigerian, Emeka Okeke; Founder, BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu and others.

Political Economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, said that the biggest risk of doing business in Nigeria is the government as they are more likely to cause one’s failure than market structure.

He noted that Africa needs strong institutions and human capital, which is a function of knowledge and wellness.
