The chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), Ikenga Ugochinyere, has lauded the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu, for their efforts in ensuring stability in the 10th House.

Ugochinyere, a lawmaker representing Ideato North/South federal constituency of Imo State, noted in a press statement that Abbas and Kalu ensure that every lawmaker is involved in the activities of the legislature under Abbas and Kalu’s leadership.

“It is a matter of fact that under the duo, there is an inclusive leadership where lawmakers of all political parties and ethnic backgrounds as well as ranking are given equal opportunities to contribute their quota to national development via the instrumentality of lawmaking cum legislative interventions,” said the lawmaker.

He also praised them for eschewing religious and ethnic biases in appointing members of the house as leaders of various legislative committees.

While describing them as sagacious leaders, Ugochinyere said Abbas and Kalu allow lawmakers to make inputs in the activities of the house by assigning them with key assignments.

According to Ugochinyere, lawmakers are left with no choice but to support them for this reason.
