Rights activist and National Leader of African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has solicited support for the party’s candidate, Dr Oberiafoh Udoh, in the Edo State September 21 governorship election, saying that he is the best man for the job.

Sowore, who was a former presidential candidate of AAC, said that the Edo people desire change, adding that they will be better for it if Udoh is voted to power.

He stated this in Benin City, while addressing AAC members and supporters during the gubernatorial campaign flag-off of the party in Edo.

He said: “I am so delighted to be here today; it is a thing of joy. I am assuring you, Edolites, that the change you desire is here today; cry no more because Edo State is about to regain its lost glory.”

On his part, Udoh said that his contract with the people of the state is contained in his progressive agenda.

He noted that the agenda focuses on investment, education, security and agriculture, among others. He assured the people to uphold the oath of office at all times, if he is given the mandate to lead.

The guber hopeful assured that he would ensure that the dream of the state becomes a reality, urging the people to entrust him with their votes.
