Labour unions commend gov over Christmas bonus

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has described Chairman of Oodua Investment Company Limited, Bimbo Ashiru, as a trailblazing leader, visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist, whose contributions to the business world and the betterment of the society have earned him widespread admiration.

Abiodun, in his birthday homily to the business mogul, yesterday, noted that under Ashiru’s stewardship, the firm had become a driving force in economic growth and development.

According to him, Ashiru’s foresight has played a pivotal role in catalysing regional development and enhancing the overall socio-economic well-being of the region.He commended him for his outstanding contributions to the state when served as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry for two terms.

MEANWHILE, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools of Nigeria (ASUSS), Ogun State chapter, have commended Abiodun for the Christmas bonus paid to civil and public servants in the state.

The two unions, in their separate letters of appreciation, signed by the state’s Chairman of TUC, Akeem Lasisi; Chairman and Secretary of ASUSS, Akeem Lasisi and Felix Oluwaseun Agbesanwa respectively, described the governor as a true leader, who has the interest of the state workforce at heart.
