Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, yesterday, commissioned a packaging films plant in the state, with a charge to firms to engage in more Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.
The governor, while speaking at the commissioning ceremony of Flex Films Africa PVT Limited, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, charged the company to adopt a school or primary healthcare centre for rehabilitation.
He said that CSR programmes, when rendered, would further motivate host communities and the people to support the growth and success of the such company.
Abiodun, who noted that his administration had been deliberate with its various policies, said that the focused and qualitative environment had continuously led to the transformation of the state, as well as the economic growth and individual prosperity of the people.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the firm, Ashok Chaturvedi, who thanked the governor for providing a conducive atmosphere for private companies to thrive, noted that the company is an eco-friendly institution.
IN another development, a two-time governorship candidate in Ogun State, Otunba Rotimi Pasadena, has vowed to mobilise the electorate to resist the re-election bid of Governor Dapo Abiodun in the next year’s general elections.
Paseda, who made the promise, while addressing various political groups and individuals across the 20 local councils under his Paseda Movement, described Abiodun’s administration as “erroneous and he must go.”
He said he had started consultation with elder statesmen and political gladiators on the party to align with, promising to announce his next destination as soon he is done.
