Adamawa gov submits names of nominees for BPP, FRC
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, over the weekend, submitted names of six nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as Chairman and Members of the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) and Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC).
In the letter presented to the House, Fintiri urged the Assembly to expedite the screening and confirmation process.
While the nominees for the BPP include Mrs. Martina Abba as Chairman, with Hassan Gaigama, Joab Gambo Gundiri, Rukaiya Hayatu, and Peter Gowon Joel as members, Kwada Peter was observed to have been nominated as a member of the FRC.

The letter, which was read during the recent plenary session by the Speaker of the House, Bathiya Wesley, led to the formation of an ad-hoc committee, chaired by the member representing Numan Constituency.
Mackondo, who was assigned the responsibility of overseeing the screening and confirmation process, promised to work around the clock with the committee members to speed up the exercise.
Other members of the screening committee, as noted by The Guardian, are the member representing Song constituency, Emmanuel Kefas.
Others include Kabiru Mijinyawa of Yola South constituency, Geoffrey Bulus of Leko-Koma constituency, and Sunday Peter of Guyuk constituency.
