Africa Prudential bags Most Outstanding Company of the Year in Cooperative Industry
Africa Prudential Plc, a leading business solutions, and investor services firm in Nigeria, announced, yesterday, that it has been recognised as the Most Outstanding Company in the Cooperative Industry at the 4th National Cooperative Awards, Symposium and Exhibition, organised by the Cooperative Rating and Award Society of Nigeria (CRASoN).
The award recognises the company that has, in one way or the other, brought new innovations and creativity to support cooperative societies and has developed solutions that add more value and increase efficiency, effectiveness and above all, their profitability to sector.
Receiving the award, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Africa Prudential, Obong Idiong, expressed gratitude to the award organisers and members of staff.
He said the award is a testament to the strides the company is making to create value through innovative solutions that make life easier for members of the cooperative industry. He further noted that the company sees the cooperative society as a major player in economic development of the country.
The Nigerian National Cooperative Award aims to enhance awareness and further promote cooperatives’ socio-economic impacts, good governance, and sustainable business model by demonstrating to governments, policy makers and development partners the socioeconomic importance of cooperatives.
Furthermore, the event pushes for modeling best practices, highlighting successful and innovative cooperative stories, increasing visibility of individual cooperatives and cooperators, while also improving the statistical and data methodology, to allow for better analysis of coops economic performances and social impacts that lead to growth and development of the cooperative sector and its key stakeholders.
