TOP academic institution of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is set to graduate 400 students, the Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Tony Adokwu has said.

Besides, Adokwu explained that AFIT requires immediate infrastructural and human capacity development in order to achieve its mandate, pointing out that in order “to realize this, a bill for the establishment of AFIT as an autonomous institution of higher learning is before the National Assembly.”

The graduating students, the commandant stated, comprised of personnel of the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, Ghanaian Air Force as well as civilians from the public who will be graduating in MSC, PGD, HND and ND programmes.

According to him, during a press conference heralding activities of the 44th convocation ceremony scheduled for today, “other programmes run in the institute include the pre-National Diploma, pre-Higher National Diploma and other certificate courses designed to meet the training needs of the NAF and specific organisations.”
