Founder of Love of Christ Generation Church, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, has lamented the state of the nation, urging Nigerian leaders and politicians to give room for every Nigerian to benefit from the great wealth of this nation.
Ajayi gave the admonition, yesterday, during a media briefing on the commemoration of the church’s 18th anniversary, which took place at the church location at Water Corporation Drive, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The four-day event of the anniversary commenced, yesterday, with Pastor Ituah Ighodalo leading the seminar on principles of prosperity. She said: “It is good for the leaders to seek God’s face for wisdom to know that the enormous prosperity with diverse resources, cornered by a few leaders by virtue of their privileged positions, is for all Nigerians.
“We know that the whole world is passing through a kind of economic recession, but a lot of informed Nigerians who travel to other nations see how the leaders in those nations are concerned about their citizens.
“Despite the fact that Nigeria is a developing nation, we have enough to go round if one person is not acquiring what belongs to four people with less concern for others, not minding whose ox is gored,” she said.
She, therefore, pleaded with those in authority to seek God’s face for wisdom and do what is right, adding that the leaders should allow the blessings of God in Nigeria to flow to all Nigerians.
Chairman of the harvest, Sina Atilola, outlined other activities of the anniversary to include vigil on end time revival today, Friday; different games, wining and dining on Saturday and thanksgiving service on Sunday that will be attended by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others.
Ajayi gave the assurance of adequate security, as well as the availability of vehicles to convey participants to the church from every part of Lagos State, including Ikorodu and others.
