Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has expressed gratitude to former Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, for publicly upholding her integrity by clarifying that she never accused him of sexual harassment.

Taking to her Facebook account, Akpoti-Uduaghan thanked Fayemi for standing by the truth, while also condemning Senator Cyril Fasuyi for allegedly fabricating the claim.

In her post, the senator wrote:

“Thank you, H.E. @kfayemi, for speaking the truth. My engagement with him during his time as a minister was strictly focused on advocating for the revival of Ajaokuta Steel Company.”

She then directed sharp criticism at Fasuyi, stating:

“Shame on Senator Cyril Fasuyi for lying against me right in the hallowed chambers while quoting the Bible. Indeed, God is patient.”

Following her post, social media users rallied in support of Akpoti-Uduaghan, while Senator Fasuyi faced widespread condemnation for allegedly misrepresenting facts.

One commenter wrote:

“God is delivering you from the hands of wicked and unreasonable men, both in the chamber and outside the chamber… The truth will always prevail.”

Another user praised her leadership, saying:

“Thank God the good people of Kogi State recognize and love you as ours. Indeed, God is patient—if not, many would have faced instant consequences for lying against God’s chosen one.”

A critic of Fasuyi also weighed in:

“Dear Natasha H. Akpoti, I don’t really know you, and I don’t fully support you either, but let me advise you—never take the words of Cyril Fasuyi seriously. He is a useless and incompetent senator brought to us by the APC government. He has had no meaningful impact on his constituency to date. Worry not—this is his only term as a senator, as he will never win another election in Ekiti North again.”
