Bishop Francis Wale Oke, National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Presiding Bishop of Christ Life Churches Worldwide, will turn 69 on Monday, 8 September 2025. Known for his extensive ministry across Nigeria and beyond, Bishop Oke has spent decades advancing Pentecostal evangelism, church planting, and spiritual empowerment.
Raised and anointed for mass evangelism, Bishop Oke responded to his divine calling in December 1975 and entered full-time ministry on 17 May 1982 after completing his university education. He founded the Sword of the Spirit Ministries—also known as Christ Life Church—in May 1980, alongside the publication of The Sword of the Spirit magazine.
Throughout his ministry, Bishop Oke has conducted mass crusades across Nigeria and several African nations, with reports of healings, miracles, and testimonies accompanying his evangelistic efforts. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and conventions across Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, and Eastern Europe. He hosts a daily Instagram broadcast, The Voice of the Lord, and founded the Sword Media Network (SMNET), a global cable and internet platform dedicated to spreading the gospel.
Bishop Oke has consistently led significant spiritual gatherings, including the annual Holy Ghost Convention and God’s End-Time Army Conference, both established in 1983. He is also a prolific author, with titles such as Alone With God, Walking in God’s Covenant, The Precious Blood of Jesus, Stepping Into Greatness, and The Weapons of Our Warfare, as well as the devotional Change from Glory to Glory.
In 2003, Bishop Oke and his wife, Victoria, founded the Dorcas Oke Hope Alive Initiative (DOHAL), a humanitarian organisation supporting youth and children in Africa on health, education, and poverty alleviation issues, in memory of their late daughter, Dorcas.
Within Pentecostal leadership structures, Bishop Oke has held key positions, serving as PFN National Vice President for the South West from 2005 to 2013, and as National Deputy President from 2017 to 2021. He was unanimously elected PFN National President in March 2021 and re-elected in February 2025.
An engineering graduate of the University of Lagos, Bishop Oke also serves as President of the International Bible College of Ministries and Seminary (IBCOMS) in Ibadan, Chairman of His Kingdom House Publishers Ltd, and Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan.
Bishop Oke and his wife, Dr. Victoria Olufemi O’Tokunbo Oke, are blessed with two children, Dorcas and Isaac, who pastor the New Generation Christ Life Churches headquartered in Lekki, Lagos. His life and ministry continue to influence Pentecostalism and humanitarian efforts across Nigeria and the world.
