The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described its sweeping victories in Saturday’s legislative bye-elections across 12 states as proof that Nigerians appreciate the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement on Sunday night, thanked Nigerians for the overwhelming support that delivered the party’s electoral success.
He said the victories represent a solid endorsement of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is aimed at transforming the economy and other critical sectors of national life.
Morka commended the President, Progressive Governors, party leaders, members, and supporters for their efforts and sacrifices toward the electoral feat.
He urged the newly elected lawmakers to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering purposeful legislative interventions that would translate the Renewed Hope Agenda into tangible benefits for their constituents.
The party also congratulated its National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on securing what it described as a “crucial first dominant victory” under his leadership, saying it signals greater successes ahead.
APC further applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its conduct of the polls and commended security agencies for maintaining peace and order, despite isolated cases of violence and voter suppression in some areas.
“Our deepest gratitude remains with the Nigerian electorate,” the statement read. “We urge Nigerians to sustain their support for our great party and Mr. President as he continues to chart a clear and steady path to prosperity for this and future generations.”
