Chief of staff to Kwara governor is dead
Kwara state government has announced the death of the Chief of Staff to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Prince AbdulKadir Mahe.
Mahe died Saturday morning and was buried the same day at his Moro Street residence in Adewole Estate, Ilorin, after the Asr prayer.
Mourning his aide, AbdulRazaq described the deceased as a perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman.
Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, in a statement, said, “The governor commiserates with the Emir of Ilorin Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the immediate family of Prince AbdulKadir; government establishments; and cabinet members.
“We ask for the understanding of everyone at this mournful period as the government and family mourn the quintessential public servant.
“We pray that Allaah accepts his return, ease his accounts, admits him to al-jannah Firdaus, and uphold his family upon goodness.”

The Emir described Mahe as a diligent administrator and committed Prince of the Alimi dynasty, saying: “a colossal loss has befallen us in Ilorin Emirate.”
He, however, commiserates with the wife and children of the deceased, the government and people of Kwara especially, Governor AbdulRazaq and the entire Shehu Alimi dynasty over the unfortunate incident.
