Delta born businessman, Uba Michael has hailed Ovie (King) of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom (Urhoboland), Delta State, HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle Okorefe I for his developmental strides.
Uba made this known during a recent visit to the monarch where they shared ideas on how to contribute to move Urhoboland and Delta State in general forward.
Accompanied by Omonade Matthew, member representing Ughelli North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Uba said he looks forward to the Urhobo Nation taking its rightful place at the table of national discourse.
The commendation also followed the disclosure by the monarch that he received a good amount of books from the Saint Paul warehouse of books for Africa which would help members of his kingdom sharpen their minds and develop their capacity.
Uba pointed out that the monarch’s gesture of wanting his constituents to develop their minds is a demonstration of his eagerness to see his people thrive in all spheres of life.
He said: “I came to visit the king to share ideas on how I’m contributing to move the Urhobo nation forward and to also tap into his knowledge. He is one person who does not get tired of learning and that is what he wants to pass down to those in the community.
“He showed me the volume of books he received, and it is a lot. So it is an opportunity to read and be exposed to anyone who is interested. It was also an avenue for me to share ideas with him and learn.”
