In continuation of investigation to unravel individuals behind the recent bloody cult clashes in the Sagamu area of Ogun State, the Department of State Service (DSS), yesterday, invited more suspects for interrogation.
The suspects are a member of the State House of Assembly, representing Sagamu 2, Hon. Adeniran Ademola, a.k.a Sapele, Chairman of Sagamu Local Council, Hon. Afolabi Odulate, and a lady, Ifeoluwa Akinyemi.
The Guardian gathered that they were invited by the DSS for questioning to aid a probe over the mayhem in the town, which lasted for over four days, and claimed several lives.
Meanwhile, Akinyemi was later released after interrogation.
Recall that six suspects and a member, representing Sagamu State Constituency (1), Hon. Damilare Bello Mohammed, were arrested last Wednesday.
The lawmaker was nabbed for allegedly providing shelter for the fleeing cultists at his official residence in Abeokuta.
Reacting, Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Asiwaju Akinloye Bankole, said as much as it does not object to DSS or any security agency investigating the Sagamu carnage which has allegedly claimed more than 25 lives, it thinks that the investigation was not being conducted with optimum professionalism and sincerity.
But sources said more people may still be invited for interrogation in due course.
