Elections: Delta records early arrival of materials
The March 18, 2023, Governorship and state house of assembly elections recorded early arrival of materials and INEC personnel in Delta on Saturday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent reports that at Patani, headquarters of Patani LGA, voting materials left the Opukabu primary school distribution centre for the various wards and units at 8.30 am alongside security agents.
One of the party agents at unit 3, ward 4, Patani, Mr Pere Bomotu, told NAN that things were going on smoothly with security agents on ground.
At Uzoigwe primary schools, official of INEC, Youth Corpers and security agencies were on ground as voters bean to arrive.
At the West End mixed secondary schools 1 and 2, INEC officials and coppers ere present but there were no voters present no security agencts.
In Ogwashi-Uku, as at 8,:40am, electoral materials and officials were yet to arrive in Unit 4&5, Ward 3, Asei primary school polling units.
The same situation took place at Units 29 & 30, Ward 3, Nshiagu Secondary School polling unit, Ogwashi-Uku.
A handful of voters have arrived the polling units, waiting for INEC officials
At Oshimili south unit 29, INEC officials and materials, youth corppers and security personnel were on ground.
At Oshimili south unit 29 INEC officials and materials coppers and security agents were present.
