Emir of Ilorin’s 29-year reign has been peaceful, harmonious – Kwara Speaker
The Speaker of Kwara House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, says the 29-year reign of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has been associated with peace, harmony and numerous successes.
Danladi-Salihu said this on Monday in Ilorin in his congratulatory message to Sulu-Gambari on the 29th anniversary of his becoming Emir.
“The Ilorin Emirate and the entire Kwara have continued to witness tremendous development of infrastructure in the past 29 years and during the Emir’s reign, most especially in the last five years of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s tenure.
”We, at the State House of Assembly, are proud and happy to be associated with the numerous successes recorded during the reign.
”It is noteworthy that the Emir of Ilorin has been at the forefront of the promotion of peace, harmony and development, not only in the Ilorin Emirate, but Kwara and Nigeria at large in the last 29 years of his reign.
”We, therefore, pray God to grant our royal father more years on this planet, with good health and sound mind to enable him continue his good services to Ilorin, Kwara, Nigeria and humanity in general,” he said.
