Expert urges Nigerian youths to explore affluent market without starting capital

A Nigerian health and business expert, Dr. Adeniyi Oluwamuyiwa Kenneth, has outlined 15 strategic opportunities for young people and aspiring entrepreneurs to tap into the lucrative world of high-net-worth individuals, even without initial capital.

Speaking at a recent event in Lagos, Muyiwa said the affluent market in Nigeria and beyond offers vast opportunities for those who understand the needs, tastes, and values of wealthy clients.

“The affluent market is not as impenetrable as many young people think. With creativity, discretion, and the right approach, you can build a successful business serving this class without having huge capital at hand,” he stated.

He identified key areas such as property management, elite networking, security and privacy solutions, luxury health and wellness, exclusive travel planning, and investment management. Others include luxury pet care, personal branding, high-end domestic services, and discreet concierge services.

Muyiwa emphasized that understanding the lifestyles of high-net-worth individuals is the foundation for success. “Affluent individuals value their time, privacy, and image. If you can help them protect these, they will pay for it. The real wealth is in offering solutions that make their lives easier and more fulfilling,” he said.

He added that many of these ventures require little to no start-up funds, depending instead on innovation, networking, and credibility.

“Building strong relationships, being discreet, and consistently delivering quality service is the key. Once you earn their trust, referrals and bigger opportunities will follow,” Dr. Muyiwa explained.

He urged Nigerian youths to embrace these service-driven ventures as a pathway to financial independence and sustainable relevance in today’s competitive economy.
