Experts to explore selfcare as key to health, resilience at summit

D’Bio Wellness has announced plans to host the second edition of its Wellness and Selfcare Summit, themed “Selfcare as a Driver of Optimal Health and Wellness.” The two-day event will hold from September 24 to 25, 2025, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja.

The convener, Dr. Monica Hemben Eimunjeze, said the summit seeks to promote health literacy, empower individuals, and reduce pressure on health systems by encouraging people to adopt selfcare as a lifestyle.

“The summit is geared towards driving positive healthcare outcomes. By prioritising selfcare, individuals can improve physical and mental well-being, enhance productivity, and live better-quality lives,” Eimunjeze noted.

According to her, the maiden edition of the summit attracted more than 750 participants, including over 200 industry leaders, and provided a platform for stakeholders to engage and expand discussions on wellness.

This year’s edition is expected to draw notable personalities, including the Chairman of Fidson Healthcare Plc, Mr. Fidelis Ayebae, who will serve as chairman of the occasion, and Dr. Victor Afolabi, Chief Executive Officer of Hazon Holdings and co-founder of Wellness HMO, who will deliver the keynote address.

The summit will feature panel sessions and exhibitions, with experts leading conversations on sub-themes such as “Selfcare in the Workplace” and “Selfcare, Climate Change and Your Health.”

Eimunjeze added that the platform would also allow participants to access quality products and services within the wellness space, while emphasising that selfcare is key to resilience, employee productivity, and mitigating the health impacts of climate change.

The event is open to the public.
