CESC Fabregas, has admitted he is desperate to win the Champions League  labelling it as the one trophy he feels he has to win before the end of his career.

The Chelsea midfielder returns to Paris Monday night to face Paris St Germain almost nine years on from the night he suffered defeat in the final of Europe’s premier competition in the same city with Arsenal.

And after losing out that night and in four semi-finals during his time with the Gunners (vs Liverpool in 2007 and Manchester United in 2009) and Barcelona (vs Chelsea in 2012 and Bayern Munich in 2013), the Spaniard is eyeing the chance to finally tick the ‘trophy with big ears’ off his list.

‘The Champions League is the competition I still need to win,’ he said. ‘It would give me enormous satisfaction.

‘We have a great team. I do not know if it will happen this year, next year or in the next five years. That is football. Football will decide.

‘I’ve played in a Champions League final, four semi-finals. You are there, you practically touch it, you get so close… I hope I can experience that moment one day.

Fabregas has only just returned to first-team action with Chelsea after aggrevating a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City on January 31, but is expected to return to the centre of midfield alongside Nemanja Matic.

Their opponents PSG are suffering an injury crisis after four players picked up problems in the 2-2 draw with Caen on Saturday and could select an unfamiliar midfield potentially involving former Chelsea defender David Luiz or Brazilian left back Maxwell.
