Field Africa, Opay distribute school materials to vulnerable pupils

Field Africa Foundation and Opay Digital Service Ltd. have brought relief to some vulnerable pupils in Lagos State, with distribution of school materials to them.
The foundation’s President, Mr Olatunde Martins, made this known at the distribution of the materials at Rabiatu Thompson Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Lagos, on Friday.
Martins said the foundation and Opay were supporting the children because their parents were having challenges in providing essential educational materials for them.
He said the foundation discovered that some children still came to school without schoolbags and other essential materials to aid learning.
The president said the foundation and Opay were providing vulnerable children in the state with schoolbags, textbooks, notebooks, pencils, biros, mathematical sets, rulers erasers and other writing materials.
Martins said that 800 vulnerable students were targeted in eight primary and secondary schools.
He said that 4,500 students had benefitted so far.
