…Honoured with Eloy, She Awards
It’s been a fulfilling and rewarding 2023 for Jennifer Awirigwe popularly known in the financial community as ‘Financial Jennifer’.
The convener of the biggest finance fair in Nigeria and founder of FinTribe, was recently awarded by the CEO Network Africa in Abuja as Finance Person, Under 30 CEO, in recognition of her spirit of entrepreneurialism, passion for driving financial inclusion and breaking barriers in the male-dominated world of stock investing.
Earlier, she was also honoured at Eloy Awards as Best Financial Coach, and She Awards Kenya, as Under 30 Finance Founder.
An Award winning personal finance expert and Certified Financial Education Instructor, Financial Jennifer, emerged victorious from a pool of a number of exceptional nominees in various categories at the different awards.
Through her inspiring work at FinTribe, she has inspired members to saving and investing over a billion Naira in 2023 alone. She also hosted the biggest finance fair for women, with over five thousand physical attendees, with multiple knowledge sharing sessions. FinTribe members also went on community trips and international conferences to Turkey, Kenya and Rwanda.
She said that seeing her work in the finance industry gain recognition offered huge motivation: “It’s one thing to be doing something right, it’s another feeling knowing that the world sees and recognizes the good work.”
FinTribe is Nigeria’s first and largest women-only finance community, with over 20,000 women trained in personal finance and thousands offered guidance on their investment journeys. Financial Jennifer, believes that these accomplishments offer a unique springboard for FinTribe to reach out to an even larger audience of women.
“Now more people know the work we do at FinTribe. We are reaching more women with the financial empowerment goals. We are having more brands reaching out for partnerships,” she stated.
On her plans for the upcoming year, she stated that she was looking to make even bigger strides, and carry on her passionate drive for financial inclusion to even more women, by using her growing platform to help in setting them up for success.
“2023 was amazing, the feedback from my clients and even social media audience who are making money moves based on my teachings. We have new property owners, so many feedbacks on new businesses, having control over their finances, relocating successfully, Career upgrades, and so on,”
“In 2024, we plan to double down, we are currently at just over five thousand members, and we hope to triple the number. Our members will travel to more countries, our 2024 travel calendar is out. Basically, we plan to reach more women and host a bigger fair.” she added.
