The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has restated her commitment to improving lives of Nigerians of all segments, especially the needy.

She said this on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti while distributing food items, including bags of rice, noodles, spaghetti and vegetable oil to needy , under her pet project, ‘Renewed Hope Initiative, Food outreach’.

Mrs. Tinubu said she would continue to roll out various programs, targeted at promoting the wellbeing of the less privileged, especially at the grassroots

Represented by Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, the first lady expressed the hope that the initiative would continue to have tangible impact on lives of those that are supported, through the assorted food items.

According to her, the program had already been positively having countless impacts on the lives of people across the nation, especially in Kano, Nasarawa, FCT among others.

She explained that the event, aligned with the objectives of her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration’s focus on improving the lives of all Nigerians.

“The renewed hope initiative food outreach program, a vital component of our social investment scheme is a generous release, supported by a dedicated industry, on a monthly basis.

“Today, as we launch the program in Ekiti state, we aim to reach all the political zones, and support citizens in need,’’ she said.

She encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize the items for the wellbeing of their families, stressing that healthy family, forms the foundation of a striving society.

in a welcome Address, Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, described the provision of the food items, as a symbol of hope and assurance that Nigerian leaders were committed to addressing the needs of the people.

Oyebanji added that the initiative would bring relief to countless vulnerable people, underscoring the determination, through positive and tangible impacts, in the lives of the people.

NAN reports that beneficiaries of the gesture include; Special School for the Blind, Ikere Ekiti, Special School for the Deaf Ikoro Ekiti, Special School for the Physically Challenged and intellectual Disability Ido Ekiti, Widows and others, across all local governments of the state.
