After two days of retreat to unveil a roadmap for 2025, the leadership of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), and chief executive officers of agencies under the ministry have signed a performance bond to commit themselves to deliver tangible results in line with the ministry’s mandate.

At the signing of the bond on Tuesday, the minister, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, said the ministry was poised to unlock Nigeria’s vast industrial and trade potential to position the country as a global economic powerhouse.

She commended the leadership for their commitment to align with the Presidential Eight-Point Agenda and the impressive presentations from the various departments and agencies during the retreat.

One of the highlights of the retreat was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between FMITI and the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, aimed at driving digitization, performance management systems, and capacity building across the ministry.

The minister said the MoU was “a pivotal moment” for the ministry, recalling that when she got a congratulatory letter from the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, on her appointment, it came with an offer to help.
