According to the agency, the exercise spanned from May 11 to 17, organised to ensure free flow of traffic and safety of travellers.
The Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, who made the disclosure yesterday, stated that 92 road traffic crashes (RTCs) were recorded as against a the 117 posted in the corresponding period of 2019, representing a 27 per cent decrease.
FRSC covered 1,575 routes, impounded 3,051 vehicles, accounting for 8.9 per cent decrease, while 5,511 violators were held as against the 5,713 tally of 2019, indicating a 3.5 per that committed 6,858 offences as against the 6,481 offences recorded in 2019.
