FUTMINNA’s pro-chancellor to headline NIM annual conference

Mohammed Santuraki, Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, will headline the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered)’s Annual National Management Conference (ANMC), set to hold from 7 to 9 September 2025 at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Centre.

A statement from the Institute’s Registrar and Chief Executive, Mrs. Taiwo Olusesi, described Dr. Santuraki as “a distinguished fellow of the Institute and a renowned public policy analyst, an accounting and management professional who has held sway in boardrooms and has an accomplished career in banking and finance, previously serving as MD/CEO of FBN Mortgages and the Bank of Agriculture; Chairman, Association of Nigerian Development Finance Institutions, and National Vice President, Mortgage Bankers Association of Nigeria (MBAN).”

The conference, which is the flagship event of the Institute, carries the theme ‘Leveraging Emerging Technologies to Drive Innovation, Creativity and Productivity’. Mrs. Olusesi said the platform allows participants to deliberate extensively on governance and leadership issues of national importance, providing actionable recommendations to government and key decision-makers.

“Typically attracting around 2,000 participants, the conference brings together government functionaries, policy formulators, opinion leaders, and top management executives from both private and public sectors,” the statement noted.

In addition to the main address by Dr. Santuraki, the conference will feature breakout sessions on topics including youth empowerment for future leadership, the impact of artificial intelligence on management processes, human capital development and policy, and geriatric management in Nigeria.

Keynote remarks will be delivered by Deacon Mike Egboh, Country Director of the Chemonics GHSE-PSM Project Nigeria. Panel discussions will include contributions from Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly; Prof. Dantani Wushishi, Registrar/CEO of the National Examination Council (NECO); and Dr. Simeon Umukoro, Trade Market Access Lead at the UK Department for Business and Trade, with Ms. Christie Adejoh, Managing Director of Marthee’s International Ltd., serving as moderator. Breakout sessions will be led by Prof. Nnamdi Nwaodu, Director-General of the Centre for African American Research Studies; Omolara Onuwa-Abiamuwe, Director of Programmes at UNICONN Institute of Technology; and Dr. Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters.
