GOC pleads with Boko Haram to embrace peace

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division, Nigerian Army, Brig-Gen. Abdulwahab Eyitayo has pleaded with Boko Haram terrorists to shun violence and gain forgiveness and peace.
Eyitayo made the call Sunday at a lunch organised for the media at Wolf Officers’ Mess, Maiduguri, Borno State.
“You should continue to partner with the Nigerian Army to end the Boko Haram activities that have claimed many lives,” he told the journalists.
Appealing to the terrorists to shun violence for peace to reign in the North East, he assured them that they were going to be forgiven.
“Why can’t the terrorists come back and marry up with the people in communities for peace to reign?” Eyitayo asked.
