Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has issued a stern warning to music ministers who focus more on public performances than private devotion. He stressed that God will not honour voices He does not recognise in the secret place.
Preaching on Sunday, June 29, 2025, during a message titled, Hindrances or Enemies of the Praise and Worship Lifestyle, Pastor Enenche emphasized the critical importance of maintaining a sustained personal relationship with God beyond the theatrics of public ministrations.
“I’ve seen spiritually dry music ministers and worship leaders trying to whip up a move of God during ministration, but it doesn’t happen,” he said. “The presence you didn’t carry come will not show up suddenly. E follow you come.”
He further explained that those who neglect consistent private worship often struggle on stage.
“If God does not recognise your voice in the closet, He will not respect that voice in the public. He can’t respect it. There’s nothing you’ll use to bribe Him to make Him show up physically because you’re in front of people,” Enenche warned.
The pastor urged music ministers to remain spiritually full and deeply connected to God, highlighting that skill without spiritual depth cannot produce authentic worship.
“Ensure that you’re not spiritually dry. Flow in the spirit and you’ll flow in praise. Maintain the fullness of the spirit and you’ll maintain the fullness of worship,” he said.
