Vehicle Owners Association of Nigeria (VOAN) has advised the Federal Government to offer concessionary citizenship rights to skilled Africans in order for them to reside and work in the country.

The group, said the initiative is akin to the Visa Lottery offered skilled blacks to live and work in the United States, adding that it would help Nigeria attain industrial development and stem brain drain.

VOAN made this known in Abuja at its inaugural and award giving ceremony, saying that the concession should be open only to Africans with clean records.

The Public Relations Officer of the group, Barrister Tolu Babaleye said the United States used the initiative successfully to attract world’s best brains to build her economy, adding that Nigeria has a lot to gain in throwing her doors open for skilled African workers.
