A Group, Christian Conscience, has decried the lingering killing of innocent residents of Plateau State, calling on the government to identify the sponsors of this dastardly act and bring them to justice.

The group appealed to the warring factions in the state to sheathe their swords and stop the massacre of innocent citizens.In its Easter message, Christian Conscience urged the factions to allow Jesus Christ, who is an embodiment of love and peace, to reign and intervene in the crisis.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Tunji Oguntuase, National Chairman, Dr. (Mrs) Yetunde Akinluyi, and National Secretary, Reverend Kolawole Verrals, the group advised the warriors and their sponsors to allow Christ’s virtues to always guide their actions by demonstrating love towards one another and ensuring that the spirit of forgiveness co-exist among them.

The group said emulating Christ, all he represented and died for would accord them peace and love, rather than the politically-induced killing of innocent citizens.

Urging them to avoid the political song of today’s leaders, “do or die,” the group enjoined them to allow Christ to lead them. The group expressed optimism that Nigeria would be great in no distant future if all and sundry allow Christ’s will to direct their steps.
