An Harvard University alumnus and notable member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Abdullahi Hashim, has lauded the Executive Chairman of Oriental Energy Resources, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, over the successful inauguration of the first funded Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessel (FPSO) at the Drydocks World Dubai Shipyard in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Hashim, who is also a member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a fellow of the College of Diplomacy and International Relations (FCDIR), said the initiative was another record set by an outstanding achiever.
In a statement yesterday, Hashim said the feat was second to none, stating that the venture would impact positively on the petroleum sector.
According to a member of the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers (NICE), Indimi is a man with a Midas touch, observing that as a man of vision and record breaker, the business mogul has demonstrated his faith in the Nigerian economy and a better tomorrow for the country.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Bola Tinubu at the ceremony, said the facility was more than just a maritime infrastructure project.
He described the FPSO as a symbol of national ambition and a testament to the success of P Tinubu’s reforms in the oil sector.
