MANCHESTER United goalscorer, Ander Herrera, says the travelling supporters inspired their 3-1 comeback win over Preston in the FA Cup and has fired a warning at quarter-final opponents, Arsenal.

Herrera drew United level before goals from Marouane Fellaini and Wayne Rooney ensured Louis van Gaal’s men will travel to Emirates Stadium for the sixth round in early March.

“The support is always fantastic and it means a lot to us,” Herrera told MUTV.

“They supported us at a tough moment and we are grateful for that. We won for them because after the first goal they pushed us for the victory.”

Arsenal have a 100 per cent home record since United’s 2-1 victory in north London back in November – a run of nine straight wins in all competitions. But Herrera says the Gunners’ form at Emirates Stadium does not concern Van Gaal’s squad.

He added: “We have to keep playing in this competition [and it will be] against Arsenal who are one of the best teams at the moment,” the midfielder added.

“But we are Manchester United and have a very good spirit and we showed it today. We have very good players and very good staff and we are going to improve.”
