Hisbah arrests Bauchi man for posting ex-girlfriends on social media
The Bauchi State Sharia Police, Hisbah, has arrested a Bauchi man known as Bala Muhammad for posting pictures of different women he claimed were his ex-girlfriends.
Muhammad appeared in about 30 images with different women, showing the cleavages of the ladies.
The images have sparked reactions on social media platforms with many urging married men in Bauchi to guard their wives against Bala Muhammad.
Speaking with The Guardian, Acting Commander of Hisbah in Bauchi, Muhammad Muhammad Bununu, said that the Commission has received several complaints against the man from the families of the women and the commission invited him to investigate the matter.
“He was earlier arrested by the Police when we needed to interrogate him, we requested the Police to release him to us for our investigation on Thursday and he had returned to the Police,” he said.

In a video clip during the interview at Hisbah, Muhammad confirmed the trending images, saying that the pictures were taken about 20 years ago when most of the ladies were unmarried.
He sought forgiveness from the women and their respective families.
The 60-year-old man said he is unmarried and has no children. He hails from Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State but resides in the state capital.
