The International Press Centre (IPC), in partnership with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council, will hold a tweet conference and media roundtable today at the centre in commemoration of this year’s International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists (IDEI).
The programme will have a renowned lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), as guest speaker, including other discussants.
Director of IPC, Mr. Lanre Arogundade, stated: “The goal of the initiative is to facilitate a free and safe online environment for journalists and other media professionals in Nigeria and ensure that the right to freedom of expression for online journalism is respected, protected and guaranteed.”
