Italian WSDGO Rep reaffirms support for Nigerian youth empowerment
The Italian Deputy Country Representative for the World Sustainable Development Goals Organisation (WSDGO), Alex Goodluck, on Thursday, reaffirmed his dedication to creating opportunities for Nigerian youths, aligning his initiatives with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A staunch advocate of sustainable development, Goodluck continues to spearhead programs that equip young Nigerians with the skills and resources needed to excel in an evolving global economy.
In a statement, Goodluck said: “As a global citizen, I believe the key to sustainable development lies in empowering the youth, who are the architects of tomorrow. Our goal is to inspire them to take ownership of their future by providing platforms that nurture their talents and ideas.
“Through programs such as skill acquisition workshops, mentorship schemes, and entrepreneurship development, I have sought to harness the potential of Nigeria’s vibrant youth population. These efforts aim to empower young people to become self-reliant and economically impactful.”
He said that his focus is particularly aligned with SDG Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
In his capacity with WSDGO, Goodluck has been instrumental in creating partnerships with international stakeholders, drawing resources and collaborations to support youth-led innovations across Nigeria.
His leadership and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment have made him a beacon of inspiration for Nigerian youth, demonstrating the transformative impact of dedication and community-driven development.
Goodluck’s work exemplifies how targeted initiatives can catalyze sustainable growth, paving the way for a brighter future for Nigeria’s younger generation.
