In a surprising announcement on social media, Edoardo shared that, despite his success in the modeling industry, he has decided to take a different path and join a seminary near Florence. At 21, he expressed a deep calling to become a priest and embark on a spiritual journey.
Edoardo, known on Instagram as @_edoardosantini_, revealed that living with two priests last year was the catalyst for his decision. He took the first step towards his new goal by starting a preparatory course, studying theology, and serving two parishes in the Florentine diocese.
Despite anticipating judgment, Edoardo is resolute in his decision, stating that he won’t abandon all his hobbies but will live them in a different context. He acknowledges that some may speak behind his back, even within his family, but he remains undeterred by online trolls and confidently declares, “I am Edoardo, I am 21 years old, and I am happy.”
He further said: “At 21 years of age I find myself on the path towards becoming a priest, God willing.”
Edoardo claimed to have joined a seminary near Florence, as he explained: “I’ve decided to give up modelling work, acting and dance, but I won’t abandon all my passions, I’ll just live them differently, offering them up to God.”
This unexpected shift from the glitz of the fashion world to the solemnity of priesthood reflects Edoardo’s courage in embracing a profound change in pursuit of his newfound faith.
