In order to deepen transparency and accountability in governance, Governor Uba Sani has appointed Alhaji Sani Rabiu Bako as the Chairman, Kaduna State Fiscal Responsibility Commission (KSFRC).
The governor directed Bako to reposition the commission to effectively discharge its mandate of promoting prudent public expenditure and financial management, as well as discipline, to ensure long-term macroeconomic stability in Kaduna State.
In a statement on Thursday, the Chief Press Secretary ( CPS) to the Governor, Mallam Ibraheem Musa, said, “Rabiu Bako is a leading Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in Project and Facility Management. A trained and certified Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Professional, he was, before his appointment as Chairman of the Kaduna State Fiscal Responsibility Commission, the Principal Partner of Rie Services & Project Ltd. From 2018 to 2022, he served as the Executive Director of Treasures Suites and Conferences. He held the position of Senior Resident Quantity Surveyor, Environment Development Consultants from 2005 to 2008.”
Bako has held many leadership positions, including: Academic Adviser, College of Environmental Studies, Kaduna State Polytechnic Students Association (2002 -2004), President, National Association of Quantity Surveying Students (2002 – 2004), and Chairman, Kaduna Doka Development Association (2021 to date).
Bako holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Quantity Surveying, and an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in the Same Field. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Construction Management.
