Nancy Ladeinde, a sustainability communication researcher and educator recently became the newest member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), a global network dedicated to advancing sustainable development.
ISSP is a reputable association renowned for selecting its member on the basis of outstanding achievements.
With over eight years of experience in communication, research and education roles and having worked across diverse sectors and with notable brands like Heineken, Procter & Gamble and Nestle; she brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.
Most recently, she has been completing her thesis on using organisational storytelling for sustainability communication while studying Strategic Communication and Sustainability. This is crucial in the global conversation on fighting the good fight and making necessary changes.
“I’m thrilled to join this community of like-minded professionals working
to drive positive change. My background in industry and passion for applied research aligns perfectly with ISSP’s mission to equip sustainability practitioners with the skills and knowledge to make an impact,” she said.
Throughout her career, she has worked on social impact projects focused on community development, gender equality, education and more. She has also presented academic papers on topics like sustainability communication and social
entrepreneurship.
As an ISSP member, she will have access to publications, workshops, case studies and global events that will help continue shaping her perspective as a sustainability leader. In addition, she will have opportunities to network and
collaborate with the organisation’s 5,000+ members from across sectors and disciplines. “I look forward to learning from my fellow ISSP members while also sharing my own expertise gained from years as a practitioner, researcher and educator. Together, we can transform the business landscape and our world through innovative yet practical sustainability strategies.”
