Lagos APC, Lagos4Lagos celebrate Remi Tinubu on 65th birthday

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Lagos4Lagos Movement have joined family, friends, and Nigerians nationwide in celebrating the 65th birthday of First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu.

Mrs. Tinubu, born on Sept. 21, 1960, has held several public offices, including three terms as Senator representing Lagos Central, and currently serves as First Lady of Nigeria. In a statement on Saturday, APC Spokesman Mr. Seye Oladejo described her as “a rare gift to our nation” and highlighted her leadership and service across several decades.

“Mrs. Tinubu has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, humility, and dedication to the well-being of Nigerians,” Oladejo said. “Her advocacy for women’s empowerment, youth development, education, and care for the less privileged has positively touched countless lives and stands as an enduring legacy of service.”

Oladejo added that Lagos APC “joins family, friends, associates, and millions of well-wishers at home and abroad in celebrating the First Lady,” praying for her continued good health, divine wisdom, and renewed strength for national service.

In a separate message, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, also congratulated Mrs. Tinubu for her decades-long commitment to public service. Through his spokesman, Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye, Adediran noted her role as a legislator and advocate, as well as her ongoing initiatives as First Lady.

“Your decades of public life are marked by compassion, integrity, and commitment to Nigerians’ welfare,” Adediran said. “The Renewed Hope Initiative, in partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, has supported 18,500 women across the country, while your MSME grants have reached 37,000 beneficiaries.”

He also commended her philanthropic gestures, including a N1 billion donation to the National Cancer Fund. “Today offers an opportunity to acknowledge your exemplary and impactful service,” he said. “Your devotion to family, the nation, and the less privileged is commendable and worthy of celebration.”

Adediran concluded by expressing prayers for the First Lady’s health, strength, and wisdom as she continues to support President Tinubu and contribute to nation-building.
