Asks committee to investigate challenge
The Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Dr Mudashiru Obasa, has directed the House Committee on Energy and Mineral Resources to investigate the issue surrounding the power outage in Badagry Constituency I and report back in one week.

The decision followed a ‘matter of urgent public importance’ raised by Bonu Solomon Badagry I during the plenary.

Bonu said that the communities had experienced power outages for many years, having negative effects on the economic activities of the people.

He lamented that the affected communities share boundaries with two international borders and generate revenues for the state and the country.

Meanwhile, the House Committee Chairman on Energy and Mineral Resources, Oluwa Sabur, expressed hope that the challenge would be resolved, noting that the House had passed the Lagos State Electricity Bill, which would be implemented immediately after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu assents to it.
