LASG restates commitment to students’ safety in model colleges

Sanwo-Olu inaugurates Adedulu, others as youth ambassadors
Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students in Lagos State Model Colleges. Director-General of Lagos State Safety Commission, Lanre Mojola, who was represented by the Technical Adviser, Seun Awojobi, disclosed this, yesterday, during a training programme tagged: “Safety sensitisation for house managers, food vendors and stakeholders in Lagos State Model Colleges.”
Mojola said the training was aimed at educating house managers, food vendors and stakeholders in Lagos State model colleges on the need to prioritise safety and security in boarding schools.
He noted that the Commission had been working tirelessly to ensure that all schools in the state adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols.He said that the Commission would continue to work with stakeholders to ensure that all schools in the state adhere to safety standards and protocols.
IN another development, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has inaugurated the new Lagos State Youth Ambassadors, marking a significant milestone in Lagos State’s efforts to empower young leaders.
At the inauguration held at the Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja, Bukola Aladesulu emerged as the Divisional Team Lead for the Badagry Division. She will spearhead a team of young leaders tasked with driving transformative change and fostering community development in Badagry and across Lagos State.
The newly formed leadership team is comprised of Seide Agosu as Deputy Team Lead, Fuad Hassan as Operations Lead, David Onilude as Director of Strategy and Planning, Kelvin Osadebe as Director of Communication and Public Relations and RaqeebahGbadamasi as Director of Community Management and Volunteering.
Others are Gideon Olawuyi as Director of Advocacy and Partnerships, MoridiyahAbdulquadri as Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Habeebah Mustapha as Director of Finance, and JakkariAbdulsomad as Director of Logistics.
A statement by the Lead Consultant, Strategic Communications, OladoyinLasisi-Olatayo, noted that Adedulu expressed her enthusiasm, stating: “I am deeply honoured to lead such a talented and passionate team. Together, we are committed to launching innovative projects and initiatives that will uplift the Badagry community and serve as a catalyst for positive change across Lagos State.”
