LG polls: Ondo Speaker harps on grassroots development

The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Chief Olamide Oladiji, has harped on the development of the grassroots for dividends of democracy to reach all and sundry.

Oladiji stated this in an interview with newsmen after casting his vote at the Polling Unit 5, Ward 9, Sasere in Ondo East Local Government Area of the state, on Saturday.

The speaker, who expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election by the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC), stressed the importance of the third tier of government to development.

He appreciated Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State for his various steps geared towards enhancing smooth and effective grassroots development in the state.
Oladiji also commended the people of the state for maintaining the existing peace and coming out to cast their votes.
