Naval chief decorates 11 Rear Admirals, six Commodores

THE Chief of Naval staff (CNS) Vice Admiral Ibok-Ekwe Ibas yesterday tasked the newly promoted two-star generals of the Nigeria Navy to bring novel solutions to the seemingly unending maritime challenges facing the country, even as 11 Rear Admirals and six (6) Navy Commodores were promoted recently were decorated in their new ranks.

The CNS, giving the charge Wednesday in Abuja at the “shipping of stripes” ceremony of the 11 Rear Admirals maintained that they must be ready to show a difference as it is common knowledge that promotion comes with high expectations, new responsibilities and peculiar challenges.
