The National Boundary Commission (NBC) has said its advocacy visit to border communities is to reinforce peace and cooperation in line with International Court of Justice (ICJ) requirements.

Crisis at the Nigeria-Cameroon International Boundary in the North East had posed serious security threats to the lives and property of bounder communities and there was the need for sensitisation exercise.

Acting Director General of the Commission, Adamu Adaji told reporters at the commencement of the visit in Adamawa, that concerted efforts have been made to ensure enduring peace in border communities.

“Part of our effort is to ensure peace and we have been visiting several border communities in the country with the message of peaceful co-existence with internal and international neighbours,” he stressed.
