Abia State All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) deputy governorship candidate in the March 18 election and serving member of the state Assembly for Aba South Constituency, Obinna Ichita, has resigned from the party.

He notified his Enyimba Ward III Chairman, at the weekend, eight days after the election, which his party lost to Labour Party, and came fifth.

In his resignation letter, which he copied the state APGA Chairman without giving reason for his resignation, he stated that his resignation took effect from March 24 that he dated his letter.
