Governor Bala appoints Head of Service, Economic Adviser

A lawyer, Mohammed Sani has been appointed by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed to replace Yahuza Haruna who held the post before as the Head of Service while Tahuza has now been made the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor.

Sani comes in with seasoned experience as a public sector administrator in the state’s civil service and also in the public sector.

Sani, before his appointment, was the Permanent Secretary of establishment, in the office of the Head of Civil Service.

Haruna, an expert in economic planning and policy is expected to advise the government on critical economic strategies for sustainable development is expected to strategies the states’ economic policy for the governor.

Haruna will work with the State Economic Management Team in the provision and coordination of inter-sectoral economic policy direction and monitoring progress in the implementation of government policies and programmes.

Muktar Gidado, spokesperson for the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed confirmed that the two appointees would be sworn into office on Wednesday.
